1) Way from Pune to Chaturshringi temple :-
There
are buses from Pune station and Pune municipal corporation which go towards
Sangvi, Aund and Pimple Gurav get down at the stop Chaturshringi. Ask for the
temple Chaturshringi nearby. By road reach Shivaji nagar and go straight on the
University road and take left turn after crossing GPP College anyone can guide
you to Chaturshringi temple.

2) Way from Mumbai to Chaturshringi temple:-
Reach Pune
station by bus and express trains there are trains and buses from Mumbai to Pune
interval of 1 hour. From Pune station follow the above route to reach
Chaturshringi temple. By road you have to reach on old Pune -Mumbai highway
till Pashan from Pashan go to Chaturshringi temple.
Mumbai (old Pune-Mumbai highway) – Pashan (143 kms) – Chaturshringi
(5 kms from university road).
The temple Chaturshringi was built during the rule of
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Bhosle. It is located on the hills slopes of
Senapati Bapat road near Shivajinagar,Pune. The temple is looked by the
trustees of Chaturshringi Devasthan (Temple).
Chaturshringi (Chatur means four) which has four peaks on
this mountain. The height of Chaturshringi is 90 feet and around 125 feet wide,
is the symbol of power and faith. There are 100 steps to be climbed to reach
the shrine of Goddess Chaturshringi. The temple also consist shrine of both lord
Ganesh and Goddess Durga it has eight idols of Ashtavinayak situated in separate four hill locks.
Chaturshringi temple has an tale associated with it is said
that a merchant named Durlabsheth Pitambardas Mahajan who was a great follower
of Goddess Chaturshringi and visited all her temples everywhere but as he aged
he could not afford and travel to the temples of goddess Chaturshringi. By
seeing his worship for goddess Chaturshringi the goddess came into the dreams
of the merchant and said him that “if you couldn’t come to me, I’ll come to
stay near you.” So she told him to go on the North-West Mountain of Pune and
dig there. When he started digging the ground as the goddess Chaturshringi said
to him he found naturally created statue of goddess (Swayambhu Devi).He
constructed the temple in the same place were the statue was found.
Goddess Chaturshringiis also known as goddess Ambreshwar.
She is also known as the presiding deity of the Pune. There is fair held during
the navratras in the foothills of the temple. It is among the must see places
in Pune. Every year thousands of people gather during the Navratras which is
the main festival of the Goddess Chaturshringi temple is decorated with lights
and lamps with traditional Indian style. The Chaturshringi temple has not lost
its grandeur although it is situated between many IT companies and commercial
buildings. There many reincarnations in Pune of goddess
Chaturshringi which are
in the forms of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, Mahasaraswati, and Ambareshwari.
Thus temple of Goddess Chaturshringi has an important place
in Pune and must visit place in Pune.
